After 4 years of dating, Rodney proposed to My right before Christmas of 2016 at the National Harbor in DC under a giant Christmas tree! My’s inner joke, how romantic! yet she said yes and that’s what matter the most!
My and Rodney are opposite! My is an introvert, who likes quiet times and loves to simply hang out with Rodey and their 2 cute dogs! She loves to dress up thus shows in her outfit choice for her engagement! Stunning! Rodney on the other hand is an extrovert. “He’s fun-loving and goofy!” Just how My described him casually! My fell in love with Rodney because of his personality, to sum it all up, he completes her!
My’s dream was to have her engagement session done in DC during the cherry blossoms season and she made it happened! It was like a fairytale that came true! They started their engagement at the Jefferson Memorial. They walked around, chatted a little and danced in front of the memorial overlooking the Washington Monument. It was breathing!
After their quick dance, they walked around the Tidal Basin and enjoyed the cherry blossoms while their blooming! In between their chats and quick dances, they giggled and gave each other some lovely kisses. These two were inseparable and so in love! Their photos truly shows their love and affection with each other!
My and Rodney will be getting married this September at RASPBERRY PLAIN MANOR in Leesburg, VA and they can’t wait to tie the knot and live happily ever after!
I am so honored and very excited to announce that My and Rodney’s DC cherry blossoms engagement has been featured on a prestigious blog – Inspired By This! Click the link below to see the featured post! [smile]
I will never forget the day when my wife and I said “I DO” to each other. Other than the fact that you just can’t forget your wedding anniversary, nature gives me a very beautiful reminder every year this time around: cherry blossoms that are in full bloom in front of my in-law’s home! These were the same trees we picked petals from and used for our wedding! Let’s talk about money saving! [smile]
Every year we try to do different things to celebrate our anniversary, but this year, it’s a bit different because my wife is pregnant! We just wanted to relax and spend time with each other. Want to know what we did? Oh well, we ate lunch at my in-laws and then left our son, Alex, with Ma and Pa so we can go watch “The Fate of the Furious.” That movie was pretty cool, by the way! After the movie, we went back to pick up our son and noticed that Pa prepared dinner so we ate there again. That’s it! No fancy schmancy dinner because it just didn’t feel like that kind of night tonight.
Tonight, as I’m typing this, my wife is waiting for Alex to finish his shower and then it’ll be reading time before bedtime. It’s that kind of night. Family night. And that’s what it really is all about for me.

In 2016, 3 days before Christmas, Andy filled their home with lit candles and rose petals on the floor. After a long day at work, Nicole came home to a big surprise! Andy proposed and she said yes!
These two have been engaged for 4 months now and they can’t get any sweeter! They celebrated their engagement at the peek of the cherry blossoms in DC right before the sun settled. It was a beautiful moment.
Nicole and Andy are currently planning their dream wedding. It will be held at the lovely Winding Creek Farm in Lovettsvile, VA this coming fall!
Location | JEFFERSON MEMORIAL, WASHINGTON DC
It’s always fun spending time with this little dude! It’s his #springbreak2017 so he’s been tagging along with daddy, or perhaps it’s the other way around! This morning, we went to Middleburg and picked up some copies of the latest issue of Middleburg Life! I had coffee and he had chocolate milk and a croissant!
In these photos he said: dad take photos of me while I check your photos and pretend I’m drinking coffee! He said he’s so proud of me and my photography, and it’s so cool to see my photos on magazine! I live moments like these with my little family! [smile]
Surprise!!! We are very excited to announce that we have baby #2 on the way! We.Are.Pregnant!!!
We just passed our first trimester and my wife, Riza, is now showing, so the secret is out!
For the past 3 years, our friends and family have been asking us when we will have another baby. Even our son, Alex, has been asking us for a baby brother or a sister! When he found out that we are pregnant, his counting began! He counts daily and weekly! He would say, 4 more days, our baby will be 13 weeks old! Yep! He’s that serious! He is very excited to become a big brother or a “kuya” in Filipino! We actually started calling him just that. [smile]
I am so excited to have an addition to our little family and I can’t wait to meet our little one! We may have a gender reveal on 20 weeks, but we’ll see! I really want to keep the gender until the baby comes out, but who knows, my wife keeps reminding me that we should know the gender sooner! [smile]

Last Saturday, I got to spend a day scouting the beautiful Shadow Creek located in the heart of Purcellville, Va. It is just a little over 10 miles away from Old Town Leesburg! This venue is truly amazing; it has a rustic and modern feel to it! The interior design is spot on! Shadow Creek can accommodate and wow up to 300 of your guests. Rain or shine, Shadow Creek has got you covered! Like literally! Both its indoor and outdoor backdrops are evenly perfect for your wedding!
I love Shadow Creek! My most favorite part is their private bride dressing suite! Scroll down below and see it for yourself! [smile]
Kristin and Josh celebrated their engagement with a bottle of wine at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va. These two were inseparable! They held hands while walking, and snuck a few kisses here and there! It was a chilly afternoon but Josh made sure that Kristin was warm enough- he even blew her hands to keep her warm during their engagement which was really cute. I’m glad that moment was captured! You know what they say, if there was no picture, it didn’t happen! [smile]
After roaming around Morven Park, Kristin and Josh decided to sit down and just relax. They pulled their picnic blanket out, laid it on the cold grass and then it was time to take out their red wine.
Josh was an expert opening the wine bottle. In a few seconds, voila! the wine was opened and poured on two wine glasses. Kristin and Josh clinked their glasses and then sipped a little. After a few more sips, next thing you know, it was almost night time. Kristin and Josh watched the moon rose up while snuggling. Before it went dark, Kristin and Josh sealed their engagement celebration with a lovely kiss.
It was a chilly Saturday morning at the mall for Deepika and Arthur. The sun was just peeking out when their engagement session started. These two were naturals in from of the camera; they laughed, they danced by the Reflection Pool and didn’t mind the crowd watching! Deepika and Arthur’s affection to each other showed beautifully in their pictures!
Arthur held Deepika’s hand and walked slowly by the Reflecting Pool from Lincoln Memorial towards the World War II memorial! It was such a lovely moment to watch them relive their second date! YES! You heard that right! How awesome is it to go back to your dating days and make it your engagement location? Genius! But wait! [smile]
Arthur and Deepika had a quick stop where Arthur popped “the question” to his future Mrs! I backed out a little and gave them some privacy to chat. I could still imagine their happy faces while glancing on each other’s eyes. It was a beautiful moment.
