Just a couple of weeks ago, I was able to scout The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards in Hamilton, Va. It is only ten minutes away from Leesburg, Va. The Barns is a family owned and operated winery in a refurbished dairy farm!
“The Barns has eleven breathtaking acres surround a beautifully restored hundred and six-year-old stone and wood bank barn, which has been transformed into a unique tasting room.”
The Barns is perfect for weddings that have rustic feel. If you are planning a wedding that involves a beautiful barn and a delicious wine selection, look no further! The Barns is the perfect venue for you!
Check them out, friends! Please say hi for me! [smile]
Wedding Venue | THE BARNS AT HAMILTON STATION
Last Saturday, I got to spend a day scouting the beautiful Shadow Creek located in the heart of Purcellville, Va. It is just a little over 10 miles away from Old Town Leesburg! This venue is truly amazing; it has a rustic and modern feel to it! The interior design is spot on! Shadow Creek can accommodate and wow up to 300 of your guests. Rain or shine, Shadow Creek has got you covered! Like literally! Both its indoor and outdoor backdrops are evenly perfect for your wedding!
I love Shadow Creek! My most favorite part is their private bride dressing suite! Scroll down below and see it for yourself! [smile]
Kristin and Josh celebrated their engagement with a bottle of wine at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va. These two were inseparable! They held hands while walking, and snuck a few kisses here and there! It was a chilly afternoon but Josh made sure that Kristin was warm enough- he even blew her hands to keep her warm during their engagement which was really cute. I’m glad that moment was captured! You know what they say, if there was no picture, it didn’t happen! [smile]
After roaming around Morven Park, Kristin and Josh decided to sit down and just relax. They pulled their picnic blanket out, laid it on the cold grass and then it was time to take out their red wine.
Josh was an expert opening the wine bottle. In a few seconds, voila! the wine was opened and poured on two wine glasses. Kristin and Josh clinked their glasses and then sipped a little. After a few more sips, next thing you know, it was almost night time. Kristin and Josh watched the moon rose up while snuggling. Before it went dark, Kristin and Josh sealed their engagement celebration with a lovely kiss.
It was a chilly Saturday morning at the mall for Deepika and Arthur. The sun was just peeking out when their engagement session started. These two were naturals in from of the camera; they laughed, they danced by the Reflection Pool and didn’t mind the crowd watching! Deepika and Arthur’s affection to each other showed beautifully in their pictures!
Arthur held Deepika’s hand and walked slowly by the Reflecting Pool from Lincoln Memorial towards the World War II memorial! It was such a lovely moment to watch them relive their second date! YES! You heard that right! How awesome is it to go back to your dating days and make it your engagement location? Genius! But wait! [smile]
Arthur and Deepika had a quick stop where Arthur popped “the question” to his future Mrs! I backed out a little and gave them some privacy to chat. I could still imagine their happy faces while glancing on each other’s eyes. It was a beautiful moment.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

There are so many things that I am thankful for, I have narrowed them down to the most important ones!
- I am thankful for all the amazing people (my tribe) I have met along my photography journey; my kind hearted clients who keep coming back to have their photos taken. To my mentors who have been helping me to where I am now. And to the vendors who turned out to be my great friends.
- I am thankful for my family here and abroad for cheering me up and for giving me the thumbs up every time.
- I am thankful for my little family, my wife, Riza, and our son, Alex. They are my inspiration to be successful on my photography.

The sun was setting, the wind was slowly blowing, there was love in the air and nothing else like it!
Ariel and Robert’s elegant engagement session was definitely one for the books. Though they looked awesome and formal on their outfits, what’s behind the photos and how they were taken were the highlights.
To keep Robert and Ariel stay relaxed during their engagement session, I asked Robert to tell Ariel some funny stories, hoping to make her laugh! After a couple of seconds, Ariel just started giggling! All throughout the session, she was giggling! Robert didn’t tell her stories to make her laugh. Rather, he rapped on Drake songs! Oh, it was so much fun capturing the genuine personality of these two! It was priceless! [smile]
Venue | MORVEN PARK
It was a cool and windy fall afternoon, and inside the church, there was so much love abound that it warmed up the entire church.
At the altar, Paul, alongside his best man and younger brother, Michael Jay, was all poised and ready to face his wife-to-be. But as soon as he had a glimpse of Fritzie, he couldn’t help hide his emotions – he couldn’t stop his happy tears from falling.
Paul used to serenade Fritzie during their dating years. You heard that right: he used to sing to her and made her fall in love. So naturally, at their wedding ceremony, Paul serenaded his now wife, in front of their family and friends. Everyone was in tears. It was such a beautiful sight. It was love.
Fritzie’s happiness and excitement was felt throughout the room while she was getting ready!
Fritzie envisioned her first look was going downstairs while her groom was waiting patiently. It came true.
The veil ceremony, symbolizes the oneness of marriage.
The cord ceremony symbolizes the unbreakable bond of marriage.
The money dance! A traditional Filipino wedding dance where the newly weds dance and the guests pin money.
Fritzie and Paul’s wedding was one to remember. It was classic, traditional, and full of love.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Sarah and Chris’s wedding had them all!
Sarah and Chris got married in an intimate setting at Chris’s church. Everyone was in silence. As soon as the wedding march played in the background, everyone turned around, stood up slowly, waited for Sarah’s grand entrance. Sarah lit up everyone’s faces when she walked down the aisle especially Chris who was just a few steps away.
Surrounded by their close friends and family, they tied the knot and promised their love forever.
SOMETHING OLD: the handkerchief was Chris’s grandmother’s given to his mom and then his mom gave it to Sarah.
SOMETHING NEW: this beautiful Swarovski necklace was Chris’s wedding gift to Sarah.
SOMETHING BORROWED: Sarah borrowed her mom’s beautiful earrings.
SOMETHING BLUE: it’s Sarah and Chris’s wedding color with a touch of coral.
This watch with beautiful words engraved in the back: “Chris, Every Second I Love You More, Sarah” was a wedding gift from Sarah to Chris.
After their solemn ceremony, Sarah and Chris were greeted outside the church by all with bubbles send-off and rain drops!
Fun fact: Sarah and Chris’s engagement session in October 2015 was also raining, thus, they used the same umbrella in their wedding! [smile]
Another lovely “something old”. This cake topper was passed on from Chris’s great grand parents wedding to them. Amazing!
Dreams do come true, and for Lisette, hers came true the day of her wedding!
An hour before saying her vows in front of family and friends, Lisette had a big decision to make: to do the ceremony outdoors as planned, or move it indoors. The rain was pouring and there was no sign of sunshine, but Lisette followed her heart and decided to get married with Joel under the rain.
A few minutes before she walked down the aisle, one of the most important people in Lisette’s life surprised her. Her grandmother came! She thought her grandma was not able to attend her wedding – so when she saw her coming, walking down the aisle before her, Lisette became more emotional. It was beautiful to watch.
Lisette walked down the aisle in the rain, with her 17 foot long cathedral veil draped so carefully in the back of her head, flowing down ever so softly, gracefully touching the wet ground, towards the man of her dreams. The rain set a very airy and subtle mood. It was magical!
Fun fact, the veil was handmade by her mom!
Lisette and Joel’s officiant was Lisette’s father, who also happens to be their pastor in their church. He started the ceremony with a very positive attitude and said that no matter what the weather brings, the day of his lovely daughter’s wedding was a perfect day!
